Ask for it in writing
Request the policy edition and start date; time and operating-hour limits; covered systems; exclusions; labour, travel and freight charges; maintenance requirements; transferability for used machines; and who authorizes and pays for repairs. Ask whether the offered unit is eligible before paying a deposit.
Match the policy to the offered machine
Record the complete model suffix, serial number, seller legal name, sale condition and destination. Ask the provider to identify the clause that makes this unit eligible, the event that starts coverage, required maintenance evidence, claim submission route, repair authorization process and appeal or escalation contact.
Compare the costs outside coverage
Ask who pays diagnostic time, travel, transport, fluids, wear items, attachments, software access and work performed before authorization. A stated warranty period does not establish that these costs are covered.
