PLAIN-LANGUAGE GUIDE

Where was this machine made?

A brand or catalogue market does not establish the factory or origin of an individual machine.

The short answer

The site does not establish the manufacturing location of every model or serial number. Do not treat a Canadian catalogue entry, dealer address or brand name as proof of where your unit was built.

What a catalogue record can establish

The equipment directory preserves the publisher, catalogue market, capture date, exact model label and supplied specification fields. Use those details to identify the configuration being described. They do not supply a factory address, serial-number decoder or certificate of origin.

Check the individual machine

Ask for a clear serial/data-plate photograph, build date, manufacturer identity and country-of-origin documentation for the offered unit. Compare the paperwork with the machine and have discrepancies resolved in writing.

Keep these questions separate

Who owns the company, where a particular unit was built, where it is sold and which market approvals it has are different questions. The ownership guide is dated company research, not a serial-specific origin certificate.
