What has changed, and what still needs checking?
Separate new site features from newly verified facts and source events from research-check dates.
The short answer
The updates page records research additions to this edition. A software improvement or a newly printed sheet is not a new source review. The maintenance queue lists checks still to do, not confirmed developments.
Understand the dates
Event date means when the reported event occurred. Source date means when the document or article was published. Checked or observed date means when the research was reviewed or captured. The queue assessment date is only when pending checks were calculated.
Verify a claimed change at the record
Open the linked research file before treating an update as a new fact. Compare its event, source and checked dates; then read the evidence classification, response, outcome and remaining verification note together.
Do not assume a scheduled event happened
A scheduled hearing or an expiring offer needs follow-up. A passed date alone does not establish an outcome, an extension or a replacement offer.
